Services Offered

Digital Xrays

Our office uses digital radiographs to aid in diagnosing oral conditions such as cavities and infections, Digital radiographs provide many benefits including improved clarity and size of imaging and the ability to instantly diagnose and display to patients their oral conditions to give them a more holistic perspective of their situation. It also uses up to half the amount of radiation as traditional  x-ray film.

Composite and Amalgam

We offer both composite and amalgam filling options for our patients. Dental amalgam is a mixture of metals, consisting of liquid mercury and a powdered alloy composed of silver, tin, and copper. It is a strong, long lasting, and the least expensive type of filling material. Composite resin is an alternative to amalgam fillings and blends beautifully with the natural tooth structure. It is considered to be more esthetic than amalgam, which can become more and more important particularly in areas within the smile line.

Crowns and Bridges

Crowns and bridges are considered "fixed" options in restorative dentistry. Sometimes the  structural integrity of a tooth can be jeopardized due to the size of a cavity, the past history of treatment, a recent root canal, or several other conditions. In these cases, a crown is needed to restore the integrity of the tooth. Crowns can also be used as a cosmetic treatment option for discolored teeth in esthetic areas or to adjust a patient's bite. Bridges are used as a "fixed" option to replace missing teeth. Both these options are cemented into the tooth and are referred to as "fixed" options rather than "removable" options such as dentures.

Cosmetic Bonding

Bonding involves using composite to change the color or shape, close slight spaces between teeth, or improve the appearance of a discolored or chipped tooth. Bonding is similar to veneers, but not as strong, It is considered a "direct", or in office restorative option rather than an "indirect", or lab fabricated restorative option. It is a low-cost way to improve your smile. Bonding is great for children who have chipped front teeth and for adults who need an alternative for veneers and crowns and understand the limitations of bonding.

Teeth Whitening

We also have our in-home teeth whitening kits with custom-made trays that are easy to use and great results are achieved in 2-4 weeks.

Dentures

Dentures are used in situations in which a patient wishes to replace a few or several missing teeth in their mouth. They are called "removable" options for replacing teeth and are crafted to provide the characteristics that a patient desires.

Root canals

A root canal is a procedure in which the damaged or infected nerve is removed and replaced with an alternative material in order to save an infected or badly decayed tooth. It is almost always followed with a buildup and a crown to restore the structural integrity of the tooth.

Oral Surgery

In some cases when a tooth is no longer restorable due to dental decay or when a root canal is no longer possible, a tooth extraction may be indicated. More complicated extractions including impacted wisdom teeth may be referred to the oral surgeon.
